Day 1: Arrive
in Melbourne

City Sights
After breakfast, discover the diversity of this multi-cultural city.
See historical buildings, beautiful gardens, and shopping areas famous
for their restaurants and fashion. Melbourne is the sporting city and
Melbournians are passionate about their Aussie Rules footy and almost
all sports known to mankind. Travel past the sporting precinct that
became famous in the 1956 Olympic Games and now roars to the cheers
of Aussie Rules crowds each weekend. Melbourne is home to people from
all over the world and this cultural diversity is expressed in the food
and fashion centres.
Walk along the shopping
strips of upmarket traditional Toorak, funky Chapel Street Prahran or
culturally Vietnamese Bridge Street Richmond. Return to the Melbourne
botanic Gardens for the morning / afternoon tea near the banks of the
Yarra River. Drive to the Italian precinct of Lygon Street Carlton and
see the historic Exhibition Buildings alongside the ultramodern Melbourne
Museum. Finish your tour at the bustling activity of Queen Victoria
Markets where huge range of fresh produce, exotic foods, clothing and
artifacts are sold amidst a chorus of stallholders.

Day 3: Shipwrecks
& Wild Cliff Tops
Full breakfast at hotel.
As you leave the
city centre and restored docklands of Melbourne, the stretching suburbs
and Port Phillip Bay can be seen from the top of Westgate Bridge.
Enter the volcanic western plains of Victoria where European settlers
forged their way as far as the Otway Ranges, establishing large sheep
properties and homesteads. Head into Geelong and the picturesque waterfront
overlooking Corio Bay.
See the port that
was the centre of trade during the famous gold rush era in the 19th
century. Cross rich sheep and dairy farmland to the cool temperate rainforests
of the Otway Ranges National Park. Enjoy a cafe styled lunch at Port
Campbell while you breathe the fresh clear air that rises from the southern
oceans. A short drive will take you to the Shipwreck Coast bringing
tales of heroes and follies, as many ships have floundered along this
wild coastline. View the 12 Apostles ocean rock formations from a coastal
boardwalk. Visit the shipwreck site of "Loch Ard" where two
survivors struggled ashore amidst the wreckage.
Day 4: Travel
to Sydney
After breakfast we will transport you to the airport where you will
catch your flight to Sydney. You will be picked up and transferred to
your luxury hotel.

Day 5: City
Sights
After breakfast, you travel to the charming Rocks area, where you can
take a stroll around the historic area, with its quaint old cottages,
pubs & churches. Rejoin the vehicle & travel along Macquarie
St, the seat of government for NSW, the Mint & Hyde Park Barracks.
Travelling past St Mary’s Cathedral, you visit Mrs Macquarie’s
Chair for an unsurpassed view of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and
the Bridge. Continuing along the shores of Sydney Harbour, you travel
through Kings Cross, Double Bay and Rose Bay. Passing by the up market
real estate, there is a brief pause for morning tea in the beautiful
Sydney Harbour National Park. You then travel further to South Head,
with its breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the city. Take a short
stroll along the cliff tops & rejoin the your driver to continue
to Bondi Beach and Centennial Park returning to Circular Quay.
Day 6: Blue
Mountains High Country
After breakfast, your Ecotour begins at the historical Rocks area of
old Sydney. Heading westwards across the coastal plain it goes to the
Great Dividing Range of Australia. It is here you leave the ‘average’
Blue Mountains tourist behind & enter the National Park to unlock
a piece of Australia you would never have known existed.
You visit an ancient
Aboriginal site & outstanding lookouts; examine rock formations
& the unusual plants & wildlife that abound the area.
From the quaint
little village of Leura we skirt around Cliff Drive to Katoomba where
you will find yourself looking out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley
(Australia’s Grand Canyon) & the Three Sisters. You can enjoy
a delicious barbeque lunch including a selection of fine Australian
wines with a cheese platter under the canopy of the Australian bush.
Day 7: Travel
to Ayers Rock
After breakfast, transfer to airport. At Ayers Rock you will be transferred
to your new hotel.
After lunch, we
will introduce you to the desert. Today you learn more about the desert
and its development as well as you can enjoy spectacular views of Kata
Tjuta. Here you also experience the fantastic colour of the great domes
of Kata Tjuta at sunset with complimentary sparkling wine. Sit back
and absorb the desert’s solitude and relax as the spectacle fades
and leaves with the you beneath a sky of brilliant stars.
Day 8: Ayers
Rock
Our drive to Uluru provides the opportunity to witness the spectacular
sunrise without rushing, all the while absorbing an exposition of the
great “Rock’s” natural history and its deep significance
to the Anangu people. Short walks will bring you close to this wonderful
and powerful place, viewing rock art, waterholes and appreciating the
unique flora and fauna of Uluru. A special feature is the appreciation
of the exquisite as well as dramatic sculpturing of Uluru.
There is plenty
of time to amble, to absorb images and to gain an insight into Uluru’s
remarkable presence. The final stop is the Uluru and Kata Tjuta Cultural
Centre.
Afternoon at leisure.
Sounds of
Silence Dinner
Here is an unforgettable evening, eating beautifully prepared food under
the Outback sky by the Sounds of Silence Dinner. A special location
is chosen where you are escorted to shortly before sundown. A lone didgeridoo
echoes across the desert as you enjoy champagne and canapés.
While the sun sets in a blaze of reds and oranges, and well into the
starlit night, you feast on array of the Northern Territory's culinary
delights, including barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush salads,
and classic Australian desserts. Attention then turns to some of the
world's best stargazing, with the assistance of the resident astronomer.
As you wind down, coffee or tea are served. In winter, guests gather
around a campfire to savour a special treat of hot mulled wine.
Return to hotel.
Day 9: Transfer
to Cairns
You will be transported to the airport after breakfast, and then picked
up and transported to your new hotel in Cairns.

Day 10:
Michalemas Cay Cruise
Michaelmas Cay is a picturesque reef sand island surrounded by magical
coral gardens teeming with an incredible diversity of marine life. The
Cay is a protected seabird sanctuary playing host to over 20,000 migratory
seabirds and is one of the most important nesting sights in the Southern
Hemisphere. We will take you on a cruise to Michaelmas Cay to snorkel,
dive and sail on Australia's magnificent Great Barrier Reef. Set Sail
aboard the five star catamaran and enjoy a reef experience - a day to
remember.
Return to hotel,
dinner at your leisure.
Day 11:
Daintree National Park
Departing your accommodation you will travel through the rich farming
areas toward the World Heritage Listed forest region of the Daintree
National Park. Cruise on the mirrored smooth waters of the Daintree
River, seeking out the vivid Ulysses Butterfly, Kingfishers and various
other wildlife. The cruise takes us through silent backwaters where
crocodiles can normally be seen basking on the muddy banks. Arriving
on the northern side of the river we now enter the Daintree section
of the Wet Tropics World Heritage protected rainforest. Travel up the
beautiful Alexandra Range passing through rainforest. Stop for morning
tea deep in the rainforest at the Jindalba boardwalk. Take a guided
walk and learn of plants and wildlife. Stop at the magical Thornton
Beach. Here our guide will highlight the amazing wildlife and ecosystems
unique to this part of the world “where the rainforest meets the
sea”.
Lunch is a special
treat today, deep under the Rainforest canopy. After lunch we get to
see unusual, exotic fruit originating from all over the globe's tropical
regions. Along with the fruit trees the orchid is also a host to beautiful
species of tropical flowering plants, both native and introduced.
Our last stop and
final stop is at Alexandra Range Lookout. From here you'll have a spectacular
view of the mouth of the Daintree River, Snapper Island and on a clear
day Port Douglas return back to your accommodation early in the evening.
Day 12:
Departure
After breakfast we will transport you to the airport for your connecting
flight home.

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a tour capturing the history
of Sydney, stunning architecture, spectacular harbour views and the
world famous Bondi Beach. Pass through the historical Rocks area and
Circular Quay as you learn about the history and significance of the
area. View the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge from Mrs Macquarie’s
Chair, a chair specially designed for the governor’s wife to look
out over the harbour. Travel through Chinatown, Darling Harbour, and
the nightlife district of Kings Cross. Travel via Watson Bay and stop

before arriving at world famous Bondi Beach. Return to the city, passing
the exclusive suburbs of Double Bay and Rose Bay.

You can hand feed a kangaroo, wallaby or emu - or enjoy a face-to-face

largest private collections of Australian native animals and bird life.

Day 5: Blue
Mountains - Sydney

Spend your morning
at leisure in the Blue Mountains. Depart in the afternoon for your return
to Sydney. We travel into a remote part of Blue Mountains National Park
where we find kangaroos grazing in a beautiful valley clearing called
Euroka. We’ll spend time wandering amongst these peaceful animals
as we enjoy refreshments including chilled champagne and orange juice
towards the end of the day.
Day 6: Transfer
to Hamilton Island
After breakfast, transfer to airport. Upon arrival in Hamilton Island,
you will be transferred to your luxury hotel. Dinner and overnight at
Hamilton Island.
Day 7: Hamilton
Island
After breakfst, you will voyage to the heart of the Great Barrier Reef
aboard Fantasea's comfortable air-conditioned high speed catamaran.
Enjoy an adventure-packed day at Reefworld - come face to face with
schools of tropical reef fish; be amazed at the spectacular coral formations;
explore easy to follow snorkelling trails or simply relax on the sundeck
and enjoy the amazing 360° view of the Great Barrier Reef. Your
day begins cruising through the sheltered waters of the beautiful Whitsunday
Islands, through the Coral Sea and on to Hardy Reef, 39 nautical miles
from the Whitsunday Coast. On entering the wide channel between the
massive adjoining coral reefs you arrive at Reefworld, consisting of
two amazing floating facilities on the Great Barrier Reef.
Day 8: Hamilton

Day 9: Transfer
to Cairns
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your flight to
Cairns, where you will then be chauffered to your luxury hotel for dinner
and overnight.
Day 10:

Cairns
Today you will travel northwards to the Aboriginal Culture Park where
you experience the rich cultural dance and skills of the aboriginal
Australians. After a delightful lunch you make our way to Skyrail -
"the world's most beautiful rainforest experience." Your gondola
trip takes you above the canopy of this world heritage national park
with stops along the way to visit Red Peak. A walk down to the forest
floor is recommended where boardwalks enable you to view the fern covered
forest floor. Arriving at Kuranda, your guide meets you to escort you
to the village. The village has so much to offer with its famous market,
boutique stores and arts & crafts. After returning to the vehicle,
you visit the mighty Barron Falls lookout before returning to Cairns
via the beautiful northern beaches.

Transfer to Ayers Rock
After breakfast, transfer to airport where you will fly to Ayers Rock.
